Kibera Uwezo Play Center

Project Details

The uwezo play center will be a community play ground center situated in Kibera's Kichinjio village. It is inspired by the Uwezo girls empowerment project, a project which empowers young single mothers and teenage mothers by training them on skills like tailoring and making African ornaments from waste materials.For this young mothers to concentrate on their work, we thought to put up a day care where they leave their kids while they go to school or attend the fashion classes. equipping the center with a creative outdoor play center will not only help the kids to have maximum fun, but also improve their health due to the constant play excercise they will have access to.
