Project Details

One of 9 playgrounds to be built in the surrounding Jinja areas this summer. Three playgrounds are being built at one time, and Busoona Primary School is the largest school with biggest student body at 1270! A group of UK volunteers have joined the EAP building and welding team to create a playground on Busoona's beautiful school site that meets the needs, requirements and play styles of the primary school children studying and boarding there. The site is large, with a football pitch stretching to one side, and small collections of trees offering shade dotted around. The playground has been carefully designed and created to make the most of the space and work creatively with what structures are already existing. Busoona students chose to have a range of tyre climbers and obstacles, imaginative play and think spaces, as well as climbing frame structures. The community choices mean that the playground is suited to the children and the area.
