Happy faces……..building lives through active play.

Project Details

My inspiration is drawn from the love and passion I have for children and community service. Having  grown in a community where poverty and illiteracy were prevalent, coupled with the ravaging impact of violence. Elementary school Children in my community Work very hard to learn and succeed in school.Every now and then, more is expected from them. One important aspect of learning especially among children is play. Sadly, these children lack the required facility to play. Play relieves stress and makes a child active but in this community, children only indulge in anti-social activities, due to lack of playground.

My project is to build a playground in an elementary school in my community, where children can have access to play in a conducive environment. I have the passion and desire to put a smile on the faces of these children. In January, I came across the playground idea and thought, this is good and I decided to start up a project. We have a big space in the school where we intend to build this playground. I am very sure that elementary school children in my community will be very happy to have a safe playground. I also believe that if I am able to get all the donations I need to complete this project, the Goverment will be happy to collaborate with me, in order to build more playgrounds in all the other Goverment elementary schools. I will be more than happy to have you donate in order to make this dream a reality.
