Project Details

A Peace Corps Thailand Group 120 Volunteer located in Amphur Lii, Lamphun Province initiated the construction of a playground at a local daycare center after three counterparts and himself assisted Playground Ideas construct a playground in Mae Sot. The playground in Lamphun was completed in early February 2010. It is a small, simple construction consisting of a main playhouse with a ladder and two slides. The area surrounding the playhouse is closed in with used tires and the area around the slides is filled in with sand creating a sandpit. On the underbelly of the playhouse, on the opposite end from the slides, are two swings. Separate from the main playhouse are two swing sets, each with two swings.
