Playground and Garden at Terrat Primary School in Arusha, Tanzania

Project Details

Terrat school is on a large area of land but the children have no place to play during break time. It is also very dusty and dry and there is no where to shelter from the hot sun. We would like to give the children a place to play to go along with our landscaping  project to provide shade.  Our goal is to get the local community  as well as the children involved in the design and building of the playground. We will use local resources coming from recycled, donated or reusable materials to teach the children about the importance of sustainability and preserving the environment and through involving the children in the project they will learn new skills that will help them have a brighter future.
