Njinikom Recycled Playground Parks–US Peace Corps Volunteer

Project Details

I am an education volunteer for the US Peace Corps and I'm serving in a village named Njinikom in the North West region of Cameroon. Playgrounds don't really exist here outside of big cities, and so I want to create 3 recycled playground parks at 3 primary schools in my village. The children here love to play and will play with anything, so I want to give them a better space to be able to play and enjoy themselves. Also, since I am a science educator, I want to create these park spaces while also educating the community about the power of recycling and its impact on the environment. This will also be an excellent way to demonstrate to the community how to carryout community improvement projects with minimal funding and being sustainable at the same time.
